Girls on tour

Being part of the Abbotts Travel team comes with a number of perks. The satisfaction of sending wonderful clients on dream holidays for instance, or petting the lovely Abbotts Travel dog, Polly, when she pops in to say hello. Perks also include trips to Ibiza for a blowout weekend courtesy of Palladium and Jet2. Here’s how our girls spent 48 hours on the party Island…

“When Joanne from Palladium and Daisy from Jet2 invited us on a trip to Ibiza, we couldn’t have been more excited.

Flying straight from work on a Saturday evening, we had the pleasure of meeting the other girls in our group at Stansted airport, where we caught our flight to the Island.

On arrival we met the lovely VIP concierge from the Ushuaia Hotel, who picked us up in their snazzy 4x4 before taking us to our hotel.

It was clear what type of weekend we were about to have when Jo greeted us at the hotel with a mystery shot of something very tasty. I suppose it’s important to stay hydrated!

After a good night’s sleep in our lovely rooms, we met at 9am for breakfast and a site visit of the Hard Rock Hotel. A great 5-star option, with lots of amenities. The spa is out of this world and we saw a variety of room types that would please the pickiest of travellers. The Rock Star suite was an absolute favourite - with a private hot tub on the balcony, overlooking the Mediterranean Sea, you couldn’t ask for anything more.

That night it was time to go out - Ibiza Style - which means only one thing… glitter. After three hours spent getting ready, we put on our dancing shoes and headed to Blue Marlin to see the famous DJ Pete Tong play a set. It was the perfect start to the night, followed by the opening night of Zoo project (hence the animal themed dress code).

The next morning consisted of a site inspection of Ushuaia Hotel where we were staying. We went to their unexpected breakfast (yes, that’s what it’s called) and saw several different suites. The quirky names were fantastic, including ‘Anything could happen’ and the ‘Fashion Victim Suite’.

We spent the evening at the hub of Ushuaia, the stage, which is truly amazing. Every Monday night, David Guetta plays along with a whole host of world famous DJs. For guests staying at this hotel, all the tickets are included, which is perfect for those wanting the true Ibiza experience.

Our next stop was the Grand Palladium, a fabulous all-inclusive option and great for families with spacious rooms and fantastic kids facilities. We had a lunch in the main buffet restaurant, which had a fantastic choice of food and were lucky enough to dine at the Italian restaurant Portofino.

Sadly it was then time to catch our flight back home to Stansted.

Now that’s how you do Ibiza in two days.

Alexis, Carly and Julie.
