PARISIAN GETAWAY
As spring arrives, the trees are adorned with bright new leaves and the air becomes milder. Paris awakens to a new season of colour and renewal. With streets lined with fresh flowers, lively terraces, and verdant parks, the City of Light becomes a magical destination to explore.
La Fantaisie, designed by Martin Brudnizki, is a lush enclave in the city centre. The hotel awakens the senses, creating a harmonious environment where nature and pleasure go hand in hand. A warm, welcoming atmosphere, just a short walk from the Grands Boulevards in the hip Faubourg Montmartre neighbourhood.
Inspired by the natural world, La Fantaisie's large, landscaped garden promises a unique experience.
Conceived as individual havens of peace, the 63 rooms and 10 suites, and spa provide a total disconnection from the hustle and bustle of the urban environment outside.
The restaurant and café resemble a hidden paradise where pleasure and joie de vivre rule. An intimate and sophisticated rooftop bar Bar sur le Toit invites you to cocktail hour above Parisian zinc rooftops. Surrounded by greenery, the space opens out to a terrace with the Sacré-Cœur Basilica as a backdrop.
La Fantaisie is under the culinary direction of creative French visionary Dominique Crenn. The first, and only, female chef to be awarded three Michelin stars in California. She centres her vision around local and sustainable products and adopts a zero plastic and zero waste philosophy in her cuisine.
The menu at the hotel’s flagship restaurant, Golden Poppy offers enticing dishes, reviving the link between food and nature. Inspired by an antique garden greenhouse, a glass roof connects the restaurant to the natural world outside, creating a relaxed atmosphere.
Martin Brudnizki’s fantastical design centres around a spectacular courtyard garden that pays homage to the hotel’s location on Rue Cadet, named after brothers Jacques and Jean Cadet. Historically, the market street draws its name from these 16th-century gardeners, who owned the Clos Cadet and supplied the court with fruit and vegetables.
Famed for his sense of exuberance, revelry, and playfulness, renowned Swedish designer, Martin Brudnizki designed the interiors of La Fantaisie. Drawing on nature as the chief inspiration, the colour palette – soft greens, warm yellows, and coral touches – creates a soothing and comfortable environment.
Richly upholstered seats, lavish headboards and ornate walls and ceilings covered with floral wallpaper, transport guests into a dreamlike world. Canopies, parasols, and outdoor furniture further project the warmth of the natural, verdant surroundings, beckoning visitors for a relaxing break under the Parisian skies.
Dedicated to total relaxation and wellbeing, and a switch-off from urban life, La Fantaisie’s spa adopts a holistic approach inspired by ancient healing rituals and the curative power of underground springs. In the heart of this quiet secret sanctuary, Holidermie advocates a unique, naturally vegan approach and a commitment to effective, simple, and radiant beauty while contributing to both the physical and mental well-being of all guests.
Poppy Café open onto the bustling street, offers a refreshing cuisine from breakfast to dinner with an outside terrace.
