A family-owned venue with a warm welcome, Beausite Park Hotel sits in a tranquil location in sight of the Alps.
In less than a few minutes, you can be heading for the slopes on the cable car. In winter, the practice slopes for children and beginners start just footsteps away.
Since 1997 the hotel has been run by the Leemann family, who pride themselves on creating a good atmosphere. This is not a hotel where you need to worry about the kids being too loud.
The hotel is over a hundred years old, but has been renovated several times in its history.
There are 43 bedrooms available with lots of options, and each room can accommodate a proper bed (not a folding bed) for children up to age 10.
Choose from rooms with a view of the forest (sun sets at about 4pm), or Mountain View rooms with balconies and captivating vistas.
The 16 Family Suites have a separate lounge from the bedroom and can sleep two adults and two children. There are two further Family suites with an extra single room attached.
The restaurant has an extensive buffet breakfast with a Chef cooking hot options including pancakes each morning.
There is plenty of choice for children, with British tastes catered for. In the evening the Half Board includes the 5-course evening meal and there are three themed buffets each week. Children are able to eat earlier and have their own menu, if there are more than 15 children in the hotel a special kids buffet is provided. Special diets are catered for with advance notice.
Relax in the afternoons in the modern Rondo Bar, playing cards or an après ski drink on the sun terrace. In the evenings there is a live pianist to unwind to. If you prefer more soothing activities try out the large swimming pool with Jacuzzi or relax in the sauna, steam bath or Tepidarium. Separate spa rooms have a range of beauty treatments and massages.
Guests with children can use the baby listening service if needed. The children’s playroom is filled with books, teddies, trains, toys and even painting equipment so you can let them make a mess.
Everything in Wengen is within a 5-10 minute walk but if you can’t manage that then the hotel’s electric car (the only vehicles allowed in the village) will pick you up from the sports shop, train station or cable car.
